Hello
I’m Melesia (meh-leh-see-uh), a trauma-informed educator and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner. I partner with organizations and communities to build connection, restore trust, and create environments where healing can last.
My work blends lived experience, neuroscience, and relationship-centered practices to support meaningful, sustainable change.
My Story
My work is rooted in a deep belief that healing does not happen in isolation. It happens in relationship.
After years of working alongside women in recovery and community-based organizations, I noticed a recurring pattern. Many systems were well-intentioned, yet disconnected. Education often focused on behavior change without addressing trauma, attachment, and the nervous system.
This work is also personal. I grew up in a chaotic environment shaped by trauma, where survival often took priority over connection. Discovering Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) transformed how I understood trauma, relationships, and healing. As these principles were applied, I experienced greater freedom and healthier patterns within my own life and family.
Today, I teach from both professional training and lived experience. My approach is compassionate, practical, and centered on creating safety, trust, and long-term change.
